KC Fooditude: A Food Truck with an Attitude

KC Fooditude

The first stop was KC Fooditude. “FOOD-I-TUDE (noun): A combination of food and attitude, the emotion of being irritable, angry, frustrated or upset by lack of food.”

I can relate.

KC Fooditude offers specialty pizzas, complete with plenty of customizable vegan and vegetarian options. The best thing about pizza? Endless possibilities. I would consider myself a professional pizza topping connoisseur, but for the purposes of this crawl I let the proprietor decide. His suggestion? A Mediterranean option boasting a spinach-pesto alternative to traditional tomato-based pizza sauce and berry goat cheese in place of mozzarella.

I was able to go inside the food truck and watch my pizza being made. If you’ve ever worried about the cleanliness of food trucks like I have, you’ll be pleased. I would be totally comfortable eating off the floor of this sparkling clean and organized truck – a type a personality’s dream.

The pizza toppings were gathered and sprinkled on a personal sized dough and put into one of the two high-heat ovens. 90 seconds later I was presented with a delicious looking, perfectly cooked and ready to eat pizza. Only 90 seconds?! I could drive to KC Fooditude, order 20 pizzas, and still make it back to my apartment in the time it would take for one goat cheese-less pizza to be delivered.

The verdict? Buonissimo! They didn’t skimp on the toppings here, and the goat cheese was a real show stopper. Definitely worth the 90 second wait.

An extra plus – they use recycled pizza boxes.
